As I get older I begin to realise more & more just how much I miss my childhood.. Everything was so carefree back then. & every once in a while, I don't feel like being the responsible adult.. I want to be able to lose control sometimes & not be judged for it.
“If you want to understand society, take a good look at the drugs it uses. And what can this tell you about American culture? Well, look at the drugs we use. Except for pharmaceutical poison, there are essentially only two drugs that Western civilization tolerates: Caffeine from Monday to Friday to energize you enough to make you a productive member of society, and alcohol from Friday to Monday to keep you too stupid to figure out the prison that you are living in.”—Bill Hicks (via cultureofresistance)
“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited.”—Sylvia Plath (via thecoldseakissedmyskin)
“Can I talk to you? I won’t keep you long. I have to go somewhere now and I don’t think I can come back. I just wanted you to know, just getting to be around you was the best thing that ever happened to me.”—Drive (via tidalwaves)
’Drive’ is definatley my kind of film. So inspired by the retro film style, neon opening titles and awesome 80s infused soundtrack that compliments the narrative so well, but yet the film still seems so remarkably fresh and modern. A fucking awesome film which is tense, intelligent adrenaline. Ryan Gosling is fast becoming one of my favourite actors for more reasons than just one.. If you haven’t yet seen this film then I strongly advise that when you take your next trip to the cinema this should be the one for you to watch..!
I doubt I’ll say anything that hasn’t been said already, so if you don’t want to read this, feel free to scroll on by. But I had to say something. This had a huge effect on me. I wanted to write this last night, but I was too upset about his execution.
“Confidence is the only key. I know a lot of people who aren’t traditionally ‘beautiful’ - not symmetrical or perfect-bodied or perfect-skinned. But none of that matters because all that shines through is their confidence, humor and comfort with themselves. I can’t think of any better representation of beauty than someone who is unafraid to be herself.”—Emma Stone (via dazzlingluxury)
